By day, you run the camp

Top-down real-time strategy. Each day lasts five minutes, and every second of light counts.

  • Salvage the wreck of the Wayward Meridian for scrap, fuel cells and Noctite crystal.
  • Raise walls, Floodlight Towers and Sentry Turrets around Haven.
  • Get every survivor inside the perimeter before the sun goes down.

By night, you are Mara

First person, on the walls, with whatever you built today. A night lasts up to five minutes.

  • Hold the line as Commander Mara Kestrel against the Nyxari.
  • Kill the whole wave and dawn comes early.
  • Survivors lost tonight are gone tomorrow. Lose them all and it’s over.

Aim the floodlight: move your pointer, or tap. Floodlight Towers burn and slow the Nyxari caught in the beam.

3,100 left the war. Fewer than 300 survived the landing.

For three generations, human space has torn itself apart in the Fracture War. Commander Mara Kestrel and a crew of deserters, refugees and engineers stole a mothballed colony ark, the Wayward Meridian, to find a world beyond its reach.

Eleven months out they found one: breathable air, liquid water, no human signals. Then a wave of violet energy rolled out of the planet’s night side and dragged the ship down into the Ashvein Basin.

They are not the first ship this planet has pulled down. And when the sun sets, something climbs out of the ground.

What comes at night

The Nyxari have lived beneath the crust for millions of years. They are eyeless, chitin-plated and seamed with violet light, and sunlight burns them.
